A note of thanks from the heart….
To Tagon-ons in California, thank you so much for allowing me to spend the weekend with you.
Sug, “Thank- You” is not sufficient a word to express my gratitude for making all the necessary arrangements. One in particular was the drive, in the fog, and in the rain, south of Los Angeles. Three people were very happy. The visit lasted only but a little over an hour but the memories will last a lifetime. You made it happened and for that, we’re forever grateful.

Mer, your generosity and hospitality is unparalleled. Your willingness to open your home and share your bedroom, equip with TFC, to a stranger is the essence of your unselfish being that is so humbling and awe-inspiring. I’ll take your “mongos” and frozen salted “bang-si” over room service at The Westin (Pasadena) anytime.
Thanks to you I’ve learned new and practical ways of cooking (beacon for one) and with your clever use of implement, I can now say goodbye to the constant numbness on my shoulders after spending a day chopping and cooking food to last us a week. OO sugod koman mag pongkuy na isab ako mag luto. 
“I’m a gunner afraid of coming in last”. Yes, I drive fast but, lady….you drive faster.  You know the freeways and byways, going to every which way --- north, south, east and west --- in and around the LA area like you know the back of your hand. Safely, you drove us places in no time at all. Who’d ever know we’d tour Burbank before breakfast? No pouring rain could dampen the fun for me. We’ve got a friend in each other. Gar, what can I say? You blow me away. Was excited to see you! As days, weeks, months and years roll by our body can’t and won’t metabolize as it used to. We’re thicker in the midsection, our hairs are greyer and thinner but you stayed true to what I remember you to be --- always exhibiting exceptional manner and proper decorum. Sug, Mer and Gar, it was hard, long and turbulent flight. Amo da kamin perme paga sisig (bugas) labina over Minnesota as we encountered the tail end of the storm that pounded the northeast corridor. Ya delayed kami nan hapit tulo ka oras, but all was well pag hikita ko sa iyo luto na did-on gayod ga tagad sa baba nan escalator. It was well worth the trouble (coast to coast) weekend trip.
