About the Site

Tagosds.Org is the first and only online community gateway of Tago, Surigao Del Sur, Philippines. On this Website, you'll find brief information about our beloved town, what there is to see and do, whether you're visiting Tago as a tourist or if you live here.

This website started last January 2005 as a blog (http://tagon-on.blogspot.com) under the name of Kahunganhunganan nan Tago, which primarily launched as a virtual channel to converge Tagon-ons around the globe. The blog were initiated by BONSAL - site's admin and K-Spy - site's moderator. Upon opening, the website's traffic obtained an average of 200,000+ hits per month. As the traffic's bandwidth increases, the site's admin (BONSAL) prompted to develop Tagosds.Org. On August 22, 2006, Tagosds.Org version 2 (powered by content management system and My SQL database) was launched to pave way for the upcoming Philippine Web Awards, which the site's admin opted to join. Currently, the website's traffic stretches to an average of 500,000+ hits and 5,000+ unique visitors per month.
